Spectacular Sides: Garlic Green Beans & Cabbage
Delicious, and love, love, love the fresh green beans with this recipe!!
Garlic Green Beans & Cabbage
Ingredients:
1/2 head of cabbage (or 1 whole head if it's small)
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 lb fresh green beans
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp sea salt
dash pepper
1/4 cup water
Directions:
Shred cabbage with a large knife or food processor. Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Stir in shredded cabbage. Cook, stirring often, 5-7 minutes, until it starts to brown. Meanwhile, pinch off the tips of the green beans, then wash in cool water and dry on a paper towel. Stir green beans, garlic, salt and pepper into cabbage in skillet. Cook an additional 5 minutes, stirring often. Add water, turn heat to medium-low, cook 2-3 minutes low or until liquid is reduced.
