Delicious Desserts: Apple-Pear Crisp

Looking for a delicious dessert for family night?  Then look no more!  This is oh-so-good.  I made it for a recent dinner we had with friends, and they insisted on having the recipe.  They loved it so much that I got a big head & decided to make it again to share with my readers!

Apple-Pear Crisp

Ingredients:
3 large tart apples, such as Granny Smith
2 pears
3/4 - 1 cup sugar (use 3/4 if you want a tart crisp, or 1 cup if you want a sweet crisp)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine

Directions:
Peel and slice apples and pears.  Place into a 13x9" baking dish.  Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top and mix with apples and pears.  In a medium bowl, mix flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, and butter or margarine until crumbly.  Place on top of apple/pear mixture.  Bake at 350 F for 40 minutes.
