A Better Breakfast: Sausage Piggies

Any time I make Pigs in a Blanket, regardless of how I make them, they are always a hit with the family.  A recent breakfast that I made was no different -- everyone simply gobbled these up!

Sausage Piggies

2 cans refrigerator biscuit dough -- I used 1 can crescents and 1 can buttermilk biscuits
16-20 frozen sausage links
shredded cheddar cheese, optional

Preheat oven to 375 F.  Separate dough.  If using biscuits, flatten out each biscuit into 1/4" thick circles. If cheese is desired, place a pinch on each crescent triangle / flattened biscuit circle.  Place 1 sausage on end of dough; roll up.  Seal ends with a little water or pinch down to ensure a good seal.  Repeat with remaining sausage and dough pieces.  Place on ungreased baking sheet.  Bake for about 15 minutes.
