Menu Plan Monday: 8/17-8/23

We've had such a wonderful weekend together. I'm really sad to see it end. I'm already looking forward to Friday (you know what they say about Friday? It's just closer to Monday!). ;-) Since I work full-time, I really value my time with my family. The days really fly by, and so do the opportunties to watch my children grow and develop.

Thank goodness for freezer meals! They've really helped me to get supper on the table sooner so I can spend more time with my family in the evenings.

Monday--Grilled Lemon Pepper Chicken, Grilled Garlic Toast, Vegetable Ribbon Salad, Sautee'd Apples

This is our weekly Family Home Evening. We'll be reviewing some workbooks (letters, numbers, etc.) to help our son prepare for Kindergarten. I need to find a way to prepare myself, too, while I'm at it!

Tuesday--Honey Mustard Chicken, Alfredo Broccoli Pasta, Green Beans

I'm hoping that we'll have enough green beans that we can harvest from our garden for this meal. Hubs built a trellis outside one of our living room windows, and the green beans have all grown up around the roof instead of along the trellis. We'll have to use a ladder just to harvest them!

Wednesday--Li'l Cheddar Meatloaves, Parsley New Potatoes, Carrots

Hubs has a meeting at church this evening, so he'll try to eat before going if I can have it all prepared in time. Otherwise, he'll eat afterwards.

Thursday--Apricot-Glazed Pork, Rice Threads, Garlic Green Beans, Carrots

Friday--Bird's Eye Voila!, Crescent Rolls

Saturday--Shrimp & Broccoli Pasta (from Taste of Home: Simple and Delicious May/June 2009), Corn

Sunday--Sticky Chicken, Yellow Saffron Rice

  2. I do believe your kids will love the little meatloaves, Melissa. They're a perfect size for kids of all ages (that includes this kid, haha!).

Debbie, I feel like I should know about your Crock Pot Wednesdays, but my mind is drawing the worst blank. I love making crock-pot meals, and I try to make a couple a month, mostly on my freezer meal cooking day. I will definitely check out your site, thanks!

  4. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. It's been a difficult week due to the death of our neighbor. I sincerely appreciate your post and hope to see you here again next week. I am anxious to give your recipe a try. Thanks again. Debbie@diningwithdebbie.blogspot.com Crock Pot Wednesday
