To-Do Tuesday: Week 10

I'm so excited because hubs and I are celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary!!!!!!!!! Has it really been 9 years? Technically, it's really been 20 years, if you add in the length of time that we've known each other, back when we were wee little teenagers. Ah, the memories are so sweet. And two children later, I am more in love with my husband than I ever realized I could be. We gave each other pet names that first Summer when we met--Snuggle Bunny (me) and Stud Muff (him).

Here are the list of items that I need to get done this week.
  • √Celebrate a wonderful and romantic evening kid-free with the love of my life. Of course!
  • Call the skating rink and schedule Little Man's 6th birthday party. He made up his mind several months ago that he just had to have his birthday party at the skating rink and no place else for B-day #6. And wouldn't you know, he's also informed us that B-day #7 will be at the zoo. Talk about planning ahead! lol
  • √Call the local public school district office and find out when first grade registration is.
  • √Sweep/mop all floors.

I was able to check everything off last week's list, excluding super cleaning the bathroom. I cleaned the important stuff (tub, toilet, sink), and my son has surprised me by cleaning the bathroom mirror not once, not twice, but three times in the past week. He tries to please, and although he left a lot of smudges and paper towel lint on the mirror each time, he still brought a smile to my face, and I haven't gone behind him to reclean the mirror. :) I do need to clean down the baseboards and light switches, plus sweep & mop (a task for this week anyhow), hence the reason why I did not check it off last week.

How about you? Are you able to keep up with your tasks each week? Keep it up; you can do it! It's always a struggle for me (I'm a true procrastinator but trying to get better). Keeping things written down helps me keep things in perspective, prioritize, and remain accountable.

This post is linked to Week 56 at Crazy Adventures in Parenting, the original home of To-Do Tuesday. Please say a prayer for Lisa as she is dealing with an anxious and potentially scary event in her life at the moment.

  2. Thanks, Tina! I'm with you on the slacker thing--I've had those weeks myself. I'm feeling pretty motivated this week, so I just might get lucky and check everything off the list. Keeping my fingers & toes crossed!
