Oh, this is a really good one. I sure hope I win. My favorite is French Breakfast muffins (sorry, I don't have the recipe with me now). I can send to you later.

Yes, I would love to have your recipe for French Breakfast muffins. I like to keep at least one batch of muffins in the freezer to give the kids something different for breakfast, and I'm always interested in something new to try out. :) Thanks for entering!

Our consolation prize for the last entry goes to Heather! Heather previously won Mega Coupon Giveaway #2. Guess it pays to enter multiple times for multiple giveaways. :)

  1. My back was hurting yesterday, so that is why I didn't get up to find my recipe. Thanks for the giveaway! Here is the French Breakfast Muffin recipe (I got from Family Fun)

    2 c flour
    2/3 c sugar
    2 1/2 t baking powder
    1/2 t salt
    1/4 t nutmeg
    1 large egg
    1 c plus 2 T milk
    6 T melted butter
    1 t vanilla

    Cinnamon-Sugar Topping
    1/2 c sugar
    1/2 t cinnamon
    2 T melted butter

Heat oven to 375. Line or butter muffin cups. Measure flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg into a large mixing bowl, then whisk.
In a medium bowl, whisk egg until frothy. Blend in milk, melted butter and vanilla. Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in liquid mixture. Using a wooden spoon, mix the batter just until evenly blended. Spoon into muffin cups fill 2/3 full. Bake for 15 minutes. Rotate pan and bake an additional 5-7 minutes.
Before muffins lose warmth, prepare topping. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Melt butter in a separate bowl. Dip muffins one at a time into butter, then cinnamon-sugar. Enjoy!

  2. Not a problem, I completely understand. I've got issues with both shoulders, and if I turn just right (or should I say wrong) one of the discs in my back will slip and it is not a pretty site when that happens.

    Thanks for the recipe! :)
