New At Target: Price Matching!

I really haven't seen a whole lot of information posted anywhere except at Melissa's Bargain Blog and Attention Target Shoppers, and this is really important stuff!! At least in my frugal world. :)

Target is now price matching advertised sales ads--woohoo! The only store in my area that does that is Walmart, and we all know how I feel about that place.

For details on Target's price matching policy, visit Melissa's Bargain Blog here.

Thanks, Melissa!!

Ginger at Attention Target Shoppers also has more details; click here to view.

Thanks, Ginger!!

Remember to check your Target sales ad to confirm that your local Target has started participating in the price matching.

  1. I'm not as excited about this as I was at first. It sounds like you have to go to the customer service desk AFTER you pay to get the difference for "price matching" and they will only price match the EXACT item (brand, size, etc.). SO, if a store brand is one sale somewhere, you can't buy the Target brand and to the price match. I'm hoping they work some of this out and it becomes a smoother process. I haven't tried it yet because it sounds a bit overwhelming.

  2. Yeah, I kind of thought the same thing. Still, it is an improvement, and for someone who has a little time to kill or simply needs to save the money by price matching (like me), it may be worth the extra effort of going to customer service. We'll have to keep our eye on the program and give it a try to see if it's really worth it. :)
